Wonderful Walks

Today's walk took us from Shipborne, walking past the lovely St Giles church and up through shady woods and fields. Once we arrived at the highest point of the walk and before our walk down the lane towards Ightham Mote, we stopped for a quick breather and enjoyed the wonderful views across Kent. I wish I'd bought a spare container as the blackberries here were gorgeous! The return walk took us past the Fairlawne Estate back towards Shipborne, where we stopped for lunch at the Chaser Inn (which I would highly recommend, not only for the food but they were completely unfazed by the 17 of us arriving for refreshments and handled everything extremely well).

I love running these Saturday walks in addition to my regular weekly sessions. They give people a chance to experience new places and the opportunity to meet new people. I'm always on the look-out for new walks but some of those we do are often repeated as they are so lovely. So here's to chatting and walking and enjoying life.
